ABOUT

Karlmer is a rock band built on grit, guts, and raw sound. Formed in the coastal town of Byron Bay, Australia in 2022 by vocalist/guitarist Tim Degen, the band first emerged under the name Venus Fly Trap, quickly making waves in the Aussie underground. After two high-energy East Coast tours and a slot at the Airlie Beach Festival of Music alongside artists like Ian Moss, Frenzal Rhomb, and King Stingray, Karlmer relocated to Germany in 2025 and evolved.

Rebranded and recharged, Karlmer now includes Lukas Büttner (guitar), Jasmin Azarfar (bass), and Roman Fischer (drums). The group blends timeless rock aggression with a modern, kultish edge, built for late nights, dive bars, and festival stages alike.

2025 marks the start of a new era: more music, more output, more fire. The band dropped their first single Cheap Prick (May) and will be folllowed by Lies (August), with an album scheduled for release in spring/summer 2026 including a limited-edition vinyl pressing.
