Karlmer is a Rock band formed in the Australian Coastal Town of Byron Bay in 2022 by their Singer and Guitarist Tim Degen. The group was formerly called ‘Venus Fly Trap’ and changed their name to ‘Karlmer’ at the start of 2025 and moved to Germany. Australia was a great starting point for the band and they've achieved big milestones like playing at ‘The Airlie Beach Festival of Music’ alongside renowned artists like Ian Moss, Frenzal Rhomb and King Stingray. They’ve also completed two well attended tours along the east coast of Australia in 2023 and 2024 and supported other renowned artists like ‘The Bennies’.

Karlmer will be releasing more new music than ever in 2025 starting with their debut release ‘Cheap Prick’ at the end of April followed by ‘Don't Rely on Your Lies’ in June. An EP is planned to be released at the end of 2025 with 6 tracks that will also be pressed on Vinyl.
